As I Should

Your face kept artists waiting
for a league of tortured time
Your grace stole words of beauty
From the strictest pantomime

Your shoulders rolled towards a neck
That held the greatest prize
Your wisdom, and your passion
Defined pleasure when combined

& you can’t see your charm, as others often do
You wear it silent, naturally, and with the greatest ease
It rubs off, as you toss your hair
It compliments each breeze

You radiate a love of life
Contagiously, ones pulled in
Your smile has a unique glow
That others warmly bathe in

& if I could die for you
I hope you know I would
But secretly, I wait for you

From a distance, as I should
